Beams & Rays

Sun beams light the Colorado River, photographed from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon

"Without going outside, you may know the whole world.
Without looking through the window, you may see the ways of heaven.
The farther you go, the less you know.

Thus the sage knows without traveling;
He sees without looking;
He works without doing."

"A good walker leaves no tracks;
A good speaker makes no slips;
A good reckoner needs no tally.
A good door needs no lock,
Yet no one can open it.
Good binding requires no knots,
Yet no one can loosen it.

Therefore the sage takes care of all men
And abandons no one.
He takes care of all things
And abandons nothing.

This is called "following the light."

Always remember to look behind you during sunrise and sunset. There too can be an event worth photographing. In this next image were anticrepuscular rays which formed opposite of the above sunset.
