I Pray for You

Many times as an artist and photographer I wrestle with how I want to present my photographs. Sharp detail, color, monochrome or a soft painterly feel amongst many other choices. It also depends on how I felt at the moment I pressed the shutter. I had a very heart wrenching experience just before taking this shot, as you know I love animals, especially dogs. A beautiful collie came out of no where, her legs covered in ice. She had a collar so I knew someone was missing her. I tried to make friends with her with food to get her to come into our car so we could try and find her owner but she took off through the snow and hills, it was bitter cold outside. I choose to remember this as a dream and hope and pray she found her way home...
