Yosemite Valley View (El Capitan and the Merced River)
In the beginning of March we made a last minute trip to Yosemite National Park. We were planning on going to Death Valley and then heard a storm had moved into the Yosemite Valley. I had gone to work very early on a Friday morning 3:30a.m. and didn't get home until 4p.m. that day. We packed in a hurry, dropped Sparky off at boarding and headed out. Driving through Southern California we had some hard rain and crazy wind. I'm very glad that Serena took over driving later that evening as I was dead tired. We arrived just outside of Yosemite in the town of Oakhurst at around 3a.m., pulled off the road and took a nap. We made it to tunnel view just in time for sunrise and some beautiful fog in the valley.
I am quite a bit behind in editing my photos. The last month or so has been crazy for me at my regular day job (I wish landscape photography was my only job, anyone want to sponsor me?:) ). We will be going to Maui very soon, so even more editing to catch up on. I have also bought a new gadget for cleaning your camera sensor so will give a full report on that. So much to do, so little time, but I'm having fun and that's what counts in life right?!
I hope you enjoy this shot from Valley View in Yosemite. The sun was peaking in and out of the clouds. Perfect weather to take photographs. Take care until next time... |
